Yarn bombing, yarnbombing, yarnstorming, guerrilla knitting, urban knitting or graffiti knitting is a type of graffiti or street art that employs colorful displays of knitted or crocheted yarn or fibre rather than paint or chalk. [source]

My most favorite tree (that happens to be outside my living room window) is experiencing a lot this Spring!  Crows built a nest in it and successfully reared 4 children!  Those crow babies just flew off a few days ago.  And yesterday the tree was yarnbombed while I was babysitting my nephew.

OMG- what is the chance that MY TREE would get yarnbombed?!   Of all places!  AMAZING!!!

Congrats to North Vancouver Community Arts Council for creating such a great event!

The message behind the project is about the intrinsic value of art in all forms, and its ability to bring people together in a way they may never have interacted before…
